At my alma mater we had free access to the online version of the Oxford English Dictionary. This was a delightful resource that I sorely miss. As such I was wondering if anyone still in reach of it could resolve an argument for me ( Read more... )

This isn't the full answer (which would require at least the Shorter Oxford), but I have a battered copy of the Oxford Dictionary of Current English that does list:
dickhead n. coarse slang idiot. [from DICK]

If you haven't already looked up dickhead on the internet version of the OED then you don't know what the internet is for.

hehe, dickhead may not have noticed they're in a lab which lets them bypass the usual login. Or they've subscribed :P

Yes, use "Shade Points". Looks like LJPoint is going to make its way into my thesis as a case study on remote authentication :)
