This is what I get for my effort and trying to write more fic since I haven't really done much in over a year: I was writing the next installment in the Timelord!Vin series and contemplating where to go with the Methos/Eliot series and my brain decided, without my permission, that Immortals were clearly Timelord babies, jettisoned to Earth before ( Read more... )

Hee. I like the way your mind works.

Does the Master know about all those Timelord babies prior to this?

Also: Yay! I'm delighted to hear that your still thinking about Methos/Eliot.

In my head it's all a giant surprise. Like, Joe turns into the Master, sees Methos, and is all "Well hello there. What do we have here? Let's have a look at you. Inside your mind." And Methos is all "Let's not." And he's at least he's a little immune to to psychic intrusions (Cassandra's voice doesn't work on him). So the Master gets all annoyed and kills him, only to be completely surprised when he wakes up again. So maybe Methos ends up wearing that collar? IDEK, okay? And it's not even crack in my head, even though it should be.

Also, yes, three partly/mostly written bits for Methos/Eliot, taking it up to season 3, but I struggle with Parker, who won't be written, so I can't get to the two fics that come after that.

Ooh, that does make a great scene. The Master would definitely be annoyed at these people who resist him and continue to live and, to add insult to injury, that he didn't already know about. Sometime the best stories are the ones that really shouldn't work and yet somehow convince you that they do work.

I wish you the best of luck with figuring out Parker, because I really want to read those next three pieces. Is the perspective the problem? Are you writing from her perspective or someone else's perspective of her?

And of course, that ep comes after the one where the Master met Jack, so he'll be inclined to compare immortalities. And Duncan's obviously going to start an Immortal resistance. And Methos is obviously going to appear to work with/for the Master. And when it's all over Methos'll have to infiltrate UNIT so he can find out what's going on. Maybe engineer a meeting with Torchwood and Jack. I wish brains had an off switch.

It's Methos's perspective, but it's more about where to go with it, how to capture their relationship in the absence of Eliot.
