Well, I have a job. I accepted it this morning. It won't start immediately, since I have to do training and Steve has to get back to me about the exact times, but I know what my normal shift stuff is. It's only 30 hours a week, which makes for three shifts of ten hours. M - W I'll have to be at work at 3PM and I won't get out til 1AM. Rather

Okay, love, I'm not a mechanics but as far as I know, the alternator makes a strap turn that generates electricity, this electricity charges your battery... and this happens when and only when your car runs. If the alternator breaks, then the battery doesn't get charged anymore and eventually dies. (this happens when the car works, usually), and if the strap breaks, same process happens. Battery dies.
When the battery dies your lights go out and shit like that. And I assume the car no longer knows it's on 'drive' or the key's in, etc. So it goes kaput.

Why do I know that? My ex had alternator problems ;)... strap problems. Also had wheels that nearly fell off.. a motor that needed to be changed, etc etc ;) hehe
