[Accidental Video]
[There's a blur of motion and pages as the journal falls through the air and lands on the ground, a leather book bag and some other notebooks landing nearby. Within the camera's view is Ginia, holding a bag of groceries, backed against a building, and watching something (or somethings) calmly out of view. With care, she slowly

Until, of course, Kazooie blows the thing sky-high with a well-aimed Grenade Egg.
She's a bit preoccupied, though, and there are a few other enemies - like a shovel with eyes - that seem intent on clipping Kazooie's feathers. Maybe Ginia had better get involved...?]
(OOC: Current setting is Glitter Gulch Mine, from Banjo-Tooie! This is playing within the simulation of it, omnipresently... though if you'd prefer a different stage, feel free to ask! \o/)

As she walks along, she sees the bird fighting off some monsters and if it weren't for the second pair of wings on her back, Ginia would think the monsters were turning against each other.
As Kazooie takes care of the box in an impressive display of explosives (or should that be eggsplosives?), Ginia gets the drop on the shovel sneaking up on her. Grabbing the shovel by the handle and poking its eyes in the process, she swings it around and releases it, sending it flying into the face of a Billy Bob.]

The Billy Bob stumbles back with an "oh!", teetering a moment against the force of the Diggit to the face. The Diggit crumples onto its side in the meantime, disappearing in a flash of light a moment after.
Kazooie pivots, talons scrabbling on the pile of purple gems - amethyst, maybe? - before she spits a Blue Egg right in the Billy Bob's face. The ogre cowboy collapses a second later, disappearing into a flash of light.
Then she turns to Ginia.]
Nice aim.
[It's a rare compliment from Kazooie, but hey. From one adventuring hero to another, maybe?]

...Right. Moving on. Ginia grins and shrugs modestly, but bows her head in thanks. She quickly takes out her notepad to write out a message. Hopefully she can read...]
Same to you. Any idea what this place is?
Reply
Kazooie pores over the writing a moment before saying.] Yep. This is Glitter Gulch Mine - or, uh, some of it.
... There any reason you're writing instead of talking? I can hear fine. [Says the bird who blows stuff up when she's right next to it all the time.]

So you're familiar with this place? Know how to get out or what to expect?

Huh. Okay then.
[Kazooie glances around the area they're in, big green eyes peering - via the invisible Amaze-O-Gaze goggles - around. Just piles of amethysts and a snaking river...] Yeah, it's one of the worlds from Banjo-Tooie, my last game. Those are Grunty's minions you just beat up - though nobody really seems to know who Grunty is here. Yeesh!
[Kazooie gestures back towards the dirt trail. There seems to be an open area there, with a rope dropping into a coiled pile on the floor.]
The exit's over there, but I don't know if it leads anywhere right now. The whole place is being dumb.

Wouldn't hurt to check it out. I was coming from a street so I ended up here, worst case is we walk some more.
So this is commonplace in your world? Beating up minions?

Plus I usually get Jiggies out of it. [She grins, though the grin fades after a moment.] Except I haven't gotten a single Jiggy so far, either. I deserve one for all the hard work I've done helping people! But people don't recognize them either.
[The red bird shrugs a bit to herself, looking slightly dispirited.] I'd go to the exit... 'cept I can't climb ropes without Banjo's help... and I can't find the dumb bear anywhere. It's all his fault, going off somewhere without me! He knows I'm the better adventurer!

[Ginia smiles a bit, giving a small wave of her hand.]
Let's back up a little. What's a Jiggy? And I hate to say it, but your friend may not be here, in Luceti. On the other hand, a lot of people came in so maybe he is. Can't imagine there are too many bears around here.

... Anyway. Jiggies are big gold jigsaw pieces. Can't miss 'em. Sometimes they're lying around to grab, sometimes I get 'em from people for helping them, sometimes I earn them from beating a boss - that kinda thing. With the help of Master Jiggywiggy, I could use 'em to open doors last time, but people've said that the guy isn't here in Luceti, which is dumb. He could probably get by the barrier if he had enough Jiggies...
Pah. If Banjo is around here somewhere, he'd better get his butt back before he causes any more trouble for me than he already has.

Hey, sorry, different worlds and all. But while I haven't seen one, if I ever see a jiggy pop up somewhere, I'll let you know.
I'll keep an eye out for a bear named Banjo. For now [She pauses to size up the dangling rope, then Kazooie.] how about you hold onto my back while I climb up the rope?

[... That next part? If Kazooie was the sentimental type, she'd smile. As it is, she just kind of smirks a bit instead, despite herself.]
Yeah, I can do that. Though I usually ride in a backpack.
[A little blue backpack, that Kazooie has admittedly missed but would never say anything of the sort about.]

[Ginia purses her lips in thought before slipping the strap of the leather book bag she's taken to carrying off her shoulder. It's holding her journal and other essentials and a bit too small to hold Kazooie anyway, but she lengths the strap as far as it'll go, then slides it around both shoulders so it carries more like a low backpack and gives Kazooie something to sit on.]

The familiar sight of a backpack, or at least a bag in a backpack-like place, is inviting. After a moment of thought, Kazooie actually climbs into the book bag, showing no sign of any discomfort and not even distorting the bag's shape.
You were saying something about the bag not holding Kazooie? This thing is bigger than the backpack she usually rides in.]
Let's roll!
