1. What is more difficult for you, looking into someones eyes when you are telling someone how you feel, or looking into someones eyes when they are telling you how they feel?
Oh, telling someone else how I feel, to be sure.
2. Think of the last time you were REALLY angry. WHY were you angry?
The last time I felt really, really angry (and not just annoyed or vexed)was perhaps a year and a half ago. I felt as though someone had done me a grievous wrong, and didn't even know how it made me feel.
3. You are on a flight from Honolulu to Chicago non-stop. There is a fire in the back of the plane. You have enough time to make 1 call. Who do you call?
I likely wouldn't call anyone. I don't think it's in my nature to reach out in situations like those (not that I've a lot of experience, mind you).
4. You are at the doctor's office and she has just informed you that you have approximately one month to live.
(A) Do you tell anyone/everyone you are going to die?
(B) What do you do with your remaining days?
(C) Would you be afraid?
A.) Yes, I'd probably tell everyone. I don't know if I can say that they deserve to know, but I can say that my friends and family don't deserve to be lied to.
B.) I don't know. Maybe try to write. Go back to Japan if I could find or borrow or steal the money.
C.) Not of the dying part. Just the pain.
5. You can have one of the following two things: trust/love. Which do you choose?
If I had to, I think I could live the rest of my life without love, so I'd probably choose trust.
6. You are walking down the street on your way to work. There is a dog drowning in the canal on the side of the street. Your boss has told you if you are late even once more, you are fired. Do you save the dog?
Honestly, it depends on the dog, and my mood. I don't really like to see animals suffer, though.
7. You are unfaithful to your spouse/significant other. Do you tell him/her. Why or why not?
Well, assuming that I actually did do this, I'd probably have to tell her. I just couldn't hang onto a secret like that.
8. Your best friend confesses that he/she has feelings for you more then just friendship. He/she is falling in love with you. What do you do/say?
I think my eyes would bug out. Then I'd say something along the lines of, "Wow. Um. Wow." Then maybe faint, or reach for a drink.
9. Think of the last person who you know that died. You have the chance to give them 1 hour of life back, but you have to give one year of your life. Do you do it?
If it meant that she'd have that hour free and clear of what originally killed her, yes.
10. Are you the kind of friend that you would want to have as a friend?
Actually, probably not. Despite my recent efforts to keep that sort of thing to a minimum, I still complain and mope quite a bit. I'm both so jaded, and still so uptight, that I could probably crap diamonds (at least that would solve my debt problem), and I don't see the good in much of anything.
11. Would you have sex without love?
Short answer, yes. Sex is no more than the satisfaction of some lame biological imperative to pass on the genes. I don't hope to fulfill that imperative, ever, but the practice is fun.
12. Your boss tells your co-worker that they have to let them go because of work shortage, and they are the newest employee. You have been there much longer. Your co-worker has a family to support and no other means of income. Do you go to your boss and offer to leave the company?
No, I don't think so. It's likely my friend would have a much easier time finding new work than I would.
13. When was the last time you told someone HONESTLY how you felt regardless of how difficult it was for you to say? What did you have to tell the person?
I think the last time I told someone my real feelings without any reservations was two or three years ago. It was the last time I broke it off with my SO.
14. When was the last time you were nice to someone and did NOT expect anything in return?
I don't remember. Usually, when I do something nice for someone, it's in return for something nice that they have done for me.
15. What do you think would be the hardest thing for you to give up? Why would it be hard to lose?
Either soda, or books. I don't think I could live without either of those.
16. Excluding romantic love, when was the last time you told someone you loved them? Who were they to you?
Monday. I was talking to my mother.
17. If you had to go back in time and change one thing, if you HAD to even if you have "no regrets" what would you change?
I thought about this one for a long time. I think I would go back to either leave a certain someone alone, or give the two of us the chance I refused, because I was afraid and scarred.
18. Imagine. It is a dark night, you are alone, it is raining outside, you hear someone walking around outside your window. WHO do you wish was there with you?
My kendo instructor. Not for his badassery (and he was badass, despite being a tiny old Japanese fellow), but for his absolute calm and focus.
19. Would you give a homeless person CPR if they were dying?
I rather doubt it. Not out of any sense of malice, I'd just be a bit too wary of being taken advantage of.
20. Are you old-fashioned?
In some ways, I think I am. There's nothing wrong with tradition, if there is a reason for it, and no better way to do it.
