My body tends to give a reaction whenever someone sticks a needle in me. I'm fine the first couple of seconds, but then I get rushed with this heatrush, sound gets muffled, and I have a hard time passing out :/
I'd never had that happen with novocaine before though, only for shots.
But wednesday a week ago I did have that reaction :(
Do what i do, i ask them politely not to show me the needle at all, some say to close your eye's that doesnt work though, just makes me worse.. but as long as i dont actually see the needle at all, im fine with it. its the sight of them that puts me into a panic, not the actual getting stabbed with them :)
but meh at when they say not to look, like yea your going to stab me with something and im not going to look... how would you like me to stab you with something and before hand ask you not to look? course your going to look!
Hmm that might not be a bad idea :) Especially at the doc's
I'm usually fine at the dentist's (the week after they did it again and I was fine) But that time they didn't just do it and get it over with, they left it in there and took their time injecting. and after that was over they gave me another in the same spot (the place they did it wasn't one of the most pleasant ones either. Right under the nose inside top upperlip :( )
So yeah.. if yer still sitting on yer chair after all that detail lol, that was prolly why it happened that day.
As for the doc's I dunno, even when they make it really fast and I don't even feel a thing I end up nearly passing out.
I can still remember the shots they gave kids for measles and stuff. I'd go in struggling and I'd wake up in the car on the way home lol
