I thought Manitoba was in Michigan! emilytbm March 15 2006, 17:12:28 UTC
I didn't mean that college makes you stupid. I meant that it stunts spiritual and emotional growth. College says: This is who you are and what you will always be and rarely do people recover from that to say to themselves, No! THIS is who *I* am and this is not who I will always be, I will forever grow and change and be a better me ( ... )

I don't need a stepping stone to greatness, as I am already great. Teasing smiley.

P.S. Wind is my arch-nemesis.

P.P.S. I love you.

Wind is my demon lover. My greatest work, I imagine, will essentially be about the wind.

No, seriously. I've been known to waylay poets in hallways and demand to hear "that one about the wind one more time."

When you grow uo surrounded by little more than the moving air, it's a natural, I imagine, consequence.

the fact that you don't get really depressed over bad things happening is not a bad thing. being able to move on and not let it affect you too much is a good thing. it doesn't mean you're a robot, it means you're well-adjusted enough to accept things as they are and not waste time thinking about things that can't be changed. again, this is a good thing.

also,
i knew dd wanted to be a dominatrix. it's been there all along.

Both you and Jenn suggested he be a dominatrix, and I am nothing if not loyal to my fans.

Also, I do talk like a robot. And when I smush up my face, I look like my dog. He's a shar-pei.

Think Mike Myers. Think SNL. Think children in harnesses and helmets.

In listening to Pearl Jam you and I finally share common ground in regards to music. Also if you want someone to call you stupid I'm more than happy to oblige your dumb ass.

Pearl Jam is excellent. I saw them over the Fourth of July weekend a couple years ago, and there were fireworks going off during the concert. So cool.

And I am far from stupid. I am extremely lazy by default, which can be mistaken for stupidity, at times.

To be honest you are anything but stupid or lazy. I'm exausted just by reading your schedule day in and day out. I on the other hand am lazy. Here is my average day.

1. Wake up go to health club. (2 hours)

2. Work on the novel that will never be published. (2 hours)

3. Enjoy a four or five hours of down time where I go on the net or play video games.

4. Go to night school. (2 and 1/2 hours

5. Go to third shift job. (10 hours but this is where I do all my studing and working as I watch an empty office building and have no rounds. I also sleep but we'll keep that between us.

And that's a full day which still has at least five hours of downtime built in. I would bet you never have any down time at all.
