An interesting quote.

One who knows all there is to know about others tends to have the hardest time understanding themselves.

Also, I just went through the LJ mood list. There's a lot of Thesaurus going on there. Many words for one mood. I know they've been there, but I just now really took a look at it.

Hrm. Interesting quote. I can identify with it. Don't know exactly WHY however.

Because you're the same as I. We tend to put others in place of our own feelings. We tend to absorb everyone else's problems and feelings and rarely focus on our own. :P

Can someone truly know someone else without knowing themself first?

I've heard that statement before, and I used to think it was pretty dead on. But over the years, I've learned that yes, you can know someone else without knowing yourself first. Reason being:

Some people are natural sponges, some aren't. The ones who are sponges tend to adapt to others more than themselves, which means they tend to learn what it is to be other people without truly learning themselves. Now, perhaps this means that you never do truly understand that person, because perhaps you're only taking from them what you want. But I think that it is possible to understand others without understanding yourself first.

Just my opinion. :)

That's why most of my posts just end up with the description: "High".

The mood list intimidates me. I get so fraught, trying to decide how I feel, I have a emotional break and have to get in touch with myself through some heavy meditation. And by meditation, I mean masturbation.

:D
