[Eyes snapping open again, Jak immediately does a Very Stupid Thing and tries to sit up. He gets about two inches up before falling back to the pillow with a low grunt of pain.
Breathing hard through his nose for a few seconds, he grimaces at Damas once he finds his voice.]
[Daxter wakes up some time after Damas leaves to crash, and stretches on the pillow like a cat. He doesn't even particularly care if he happens to nudge Jak awake; he's not nearly as gentle with him as others tended to be.]

[Damas' voice comes from a chair that has been dragged to the foot of Jak's bed. He himself looks weary, and not just from his age.]
Considering the painkillers you had have probably worn off, somewhat.
[He stands, pulling the chair closer to Jak's bedside, and sitting heavily.]

[He scratches his chest fluff, giving Jak a rather unimpressed look despite feeling extremely relieved to finally see his best friend conscious.]
