Let's talk shadows....
Right. So, I touched on this in my stats and permissions, but I should probably put this as it's own separate to-do.
Seeing Akira!
Basically, Akira is no longer human. He is very much a shadow creature called a Shin. He is such because Shirogane was a stalker prostitute and wonders why Akira thought he was Creepy McCreepyhor and ran away from him and then ended up falling through the weakened material of the world. In Monochrome Factor there are two worlds existing like a mirror, the world of light and the world of shadow. To exist in either world, a being has to have their mirror world counterpart. If something should happen to said counter part, both halves will disappear from existence. When Akira fell through the material of the world, he essentially destroyed his shadow, which would have ended up killing him if Shirogane had not signed a contract with him allowing him to become a Shin. Most of the time, he will be using a Doppler object in place of his shadow to allow him to exist as and be seen by humans.
That said, Shin cannot be seen by normal humans unless they have been made aware of their existence or if it's a clouded or moonless night. I don't want to limit Akira's interactions when he's not in his human form so all you magical people, psychics, monsters, otherworldly beings, feel free to see him as a Shin and confuse the hell out of him.
In addition to being a Shin, he's also the reincarnation of the Direct King of Rei -- or the light realm. This doesn't show up much, and he will trust you not at all if it comes up. This should probably not come up for a while as I'm still waiting for more translations for details about Ryuko. The only time we see him manifest is when Akira falls unconscious in life and death situations. Please, ask before you bring this up with him. :|b
Either way, he should ping a good deal of people as being LOLNOTHUMAN!!!!! And I should probably know who's going to be pinged which way.
So comment here if you think your character will be pinged by or be able to see Akira as a Shin. o/ Thanks for the help y'all!
