Yes, I live! But this is my only non-overscheduled day this week, and I'm using it to get everything done that's been left to slide + get everything in order that needs to happen before the end of July.
Things are about to slow down. Soon. Just haven't yet.
Today is the FINAL DAY that michaeldthomas and I are taking submissions for Flying Higher: An Anthology of Superhero Poetry! Last chance! Please send your superhero poems to michaeldamianthomas@gmail.com and shadesong@gmail.com today! This is not a paying market because have you *seen* what's going on in my world? But the e-book will be FREE TO ALL.
The parts of Readercon I got to were great! I felt rushed and compressed because I had a lot of panels and, due to commuting to the con and arriving late/leaving early and not being there Sunday, got to do pretty much nothing *but* my program items. Poo.
Rose and Emily have good posts you should read.
Sunday and yesterday were Elayna's college orientation days! No, she's not actually at college yet - this was preliminary stuff. So grateful to cucumberseed for schlepping us out there and back - very valuable experience for Elayna, both in terms of getting oriented and meeting most of her new classmates! *crosses fingers that that one girl she really clicked with doesn't have a roommate yet*
And now I must get back to it.
