This appears to be as fucked-up as it was inevitable. There's some argument that grand juries as a system are variously outdated, useless, prejudicial, and we ought to abolish them as the English have. I doubt that'll happen.

I do expect to see a Federal indictment handed down. That also seems inevitable.

What's really badly unclear to me is whether any of this will stem the tide. Right now we live in a country where more and more people (usually of color) are getting shot by police unnecessarily and wrongfully. What do we have to do to turn that around?
