(no subject)
If you seen my dA journal, you'll probably know what the first part of this entry is about. All parts of entry are also found on my dA. This one may have some small edits to it.
After my last entry that was compiled of angst I'm giving a journal update for the time being.
Things are going somewhat better, but I'm back to not getting the sleep I use to before I started drawing things. I've been trying to take a break but the thing about taking breaks from something that you have been doing for while is most likely going to end up being some skill that you have forgotten how to do and have to resharpen it somehow. So as of recently I've been doing some conbadge commissions for about $20 each (lowered it due to the fact I'm not as good as others, nor am I as well-known). Eventually I'll get there... but maybe it is best that I don't. Flattery from it is great and all, but when it comes down to becomming someone who is popular amoung a certain group of people can become troublesome. Rumors can spread more easily, and people may start assuming that you are become arrogant with the higher status beyond that of other artists.
Art is art. Not everyone is perfect at it, some people will even deny that they are really good. As its definition suggests, an image can appear to be the crappiest thing but in the eyes of some, can be seen as a wonderful work of art. Also as the definition states, as defined by dictionary.com
1. The conscious production or arrangement of sounds, colors, forms, movements, or other elements in a manner that affects the sense of beauty, specifically the production of the beautiful in a graphic or plastic medium.
2. The study of these activities.
3. The product of these activities; human works of beauty considered as a group.
So a bunch of disgruntled reactions come up about the nude art of the human physique is a bit of nonsense. However, others still do have a point about it. Whether you like it or not, there are young people who are likely to pass themselves off as people who are older than they actually are (I know that some young kids would like to do such a thing just so they could see things they weren't supposed to, like say lie about your age or say your adult was in the restroom in order to see that R rated movie that you wanted to see but couldn't due to your age). If something like that were to happen it is the parents irresponsibility to blame, not dA.
I'll probably get bad mouthed about this entry but I don't care. If you're going to comment on this, be advised that I am most likely not going to comment in return. Such things is likely to lead to arguments/flamming. I'm just going through some emotional hazards right now, so ignore this entry if you feel (I know some will do that anyways) or comment if you feel. I should be in bed right now, but I can't get to sleep. So I'll probably just draw until I tire out.
Lastly, I apologize for my last entry. I was just really upset, and the family troubles didn't help anything either.
I'm out for the late evening.
