Star Trek Movie (spoiler alert) Review

Well, Silviefox and I just went to see the new Star Trek movie. I didn't like it very much. Looks like they took all the Star Trek culture and threw it out the window. The characters didn't act anything like what you might have expected of them, with the possible exception of Cap'n Kirk, who mostly ran around beating people up the entire movie (

I thought you liked suckfests. ;) I suspect anyone not caring about any of the original star trek characters and story lines would really enjoy it, though.

Whatever happened to original ideas?! Movies nowadays are remakes and relaunches of older either profitable or cult classical movies that everyone from our parents generation will remember and love. Now they are getting raped in the theaters and being RELAUNCHED! But its to damn tempting to NOT go and see them so the movie producers win!

In 20 years there will probably be a remake of lost, heros, V for vendetta, the matrix, and rambo.... and our generation will go "OMFG! MOOOVEIS!"

yeah, as long as hollywood can milk another dime out of the consumers, there will be remakes, despite the artistic carnage they wreck upon the unwitting populace.
