What?

What is--

Hm...

People are walking these streets so I will venture a guess that someone here will be in a position to offer answers to the following questions, as a starting point.

What is this place?
How is it I came to be here?
And how do I remove myself from it?

Answers swiftly, if you would.

Hn. The traitor... I thought that was a familiar scent. Why is he also in this place?

Yet he seems to know something about this place, suggesting he has been here for some time.

...and at present I do not sense any Organization members. He is no longer to be considered one. But then at this stage it is debatable if there is an Organization to speak of.

Yet, there is also--

Just like reporting after a mission.

The City is at a crossroads between dimensions. It's overseen by deities with apparently limitless power. They cast down curses but can be persuaded to make deals for things the citizens want. People have come and gone, but it's never under their own control.

He does~ but it's mostly for the "window into the mind" effect ;p shadow_schemer August 19 2008, 00:08:34 UTC
Spoken with accuracy and confidence. Experienced, then. Or lying.

Either or, at this stage it seems irrelevant. It is best logged away and compared to any and all other information gathered from other sources. Considering I only recognise two individuals here, one of which does not know me, it is like a blank canvas with only one mark upon it. Of all the marks it could possibly have been this one is perhaps the one I'd have been least concerned about. Fortunate.

How did you come to obtain this information? Would it be wise to assume you are speaking from prolonged experience?

Yes.

VI, what's the last thing you remember?

Failure and downfall, but is that something that I should share so openly with you, I wonder.

Or is this supposed to be unspoken quid pro quo? If it is unspoken I am certainly not bound to it.

Some kind of middle ground, then.
