Thank you. I'm glad you understand, and that all of this hasn't ruined our friendship.
I would love to visit you on Babylon 5. I felt very badly that I never got a chance to meet Vir at his party, and I'd like to. I could argue with you about my ability to take care of myself, but the truth is that I'm very tired, and I would just as soon avoid those assassins you mentioned. (But if you need any help in dealing with them, I'd be willing to help. I've met ranger_wun, and I would hate to see anything happen ot him. Though I suppose he can take care of himself, too
( ... )
the attack on ranger_wun has been foiled. What you wrote about Draco shocked and angered me as much as it did you. There was an immediate suspect that came to mind, and I have taken steps to deal with her.
Yes, "her", since the suspect in question is my former wife _mariel. Her guilt in the case of ranger_wun at least can be proven; in regards to Draco, it cannot. Now, while I completely understand Galen's and your desire to have words with her, I would like to ask you to wait until Mariel has left the station for Davo, an exile I have been arranging these last hours with Mr. Garibaldi. Normally I wouldn't care if Galen turned her into a Terran toad right here and now, but Mariel has managed to convince Vir he's in love with her, and so a postponement until he can no longer be hurt by what happens to her is, alas, what I have to ask you for
( ... )
I wish I could say that I was surprised to hear about Mariel, but I've heard too many stories about her to believe that she wouldn't do something like that. Are you certain she's the one who poisoned Draco?
In any case, I understand, and it must have been enough of a shock to Vir to find out that she had done such a thing, without him having to see... We will wait. But I should probably warn you that if it turns out that she did hurt Draco, I'm not going to be able to restrain Galen. And I probably won't try. We're both terribly fond of Draco.
If it wasn't Mariel, I'm afraid you're right, and they will try again. Which gives us another chance to find them...
But in any case, I'm looking forward to my visit to Babylon 5, and I'm glad the files helped with Duck.
