I just wanted to say that you should NOT expect this unless you all have agreed to it beforehand. I've lived with really clean people and really messy people (I like to think I'm in the middle somewhere) and NEITHER personality type has changed due to the existence of others. More than anything, the clean people get frustrated that the messy people never clean up, and the messy people get frustrated because the clean people keep moving their stuff.

You should have this conversation as soon as you move in if you haven't yet.
