Wonderful day?

Ever  notice how most receipts have something along the top like "Have a wonderful day!"  Is this like a precautionary measure in case the person who rings you up forgets to wish you well?  If I had a business I would stand out in the crowd by providing a message that says "Thank you for spending your money on us!  Please cling to these material

haha, and there is plenty to cling too....

plus there is the static... which helps with the clinging.

That type of thing always makes me cheerful.

I think it's really just another subtle way for them to implant positive associations between them and their customers, a tiny marketing tactic. I personally like it though, it always makes me smile a little.
