So, um, I don't know how many swimslashers are left lurking around here. But I have to say that this has inspired me more than anything else in the last year. I just don't know that the world is ready for Melo/Michael. OR IS IT.

Thanks to scrawl42 for pointing the link out to me.

I thought of you immediately when I saw that!

The Olympics in general have been quite titillating, I must say. I got so flustered and overwhelmed during the Thorpe-less 400m freestyle last night that I started thinking about swimslash again. Ian is at the Games, after all, in some sort of pseudo-official capacity. And so I crafted this plot about Michael being tormented by fat!Ian and his comments about how Michael will never break Spitz's record, and Ian having no use for Michael at all anymore and just staring him down through his designer sunglasses, but there's implied past Ian/Michael (with Ian topping omg, but just a vague reference or two because this is still me we're talking about here), and anyway, I'm not sure where it's going, but it feels like something, maybe.

But you're right, I do feel strangely inspired as well by these Olympics. Who would ever have imagined?

Has anyone actually seen Ian? And is he truly fat!Ian? Last night they were like "oh yeah Ian Thorpe is handing out some medals" and I'm like WHERE but never saw him. The last time I think I've seen him is when he was crying over the doping allegations.

He just looks so... weird. Sadly, the dirty look never went away.

"He's like a shark." Ohhh dear. That's mildly adorable.

LOL, thanks! I would love to get snag some time to write this. I don't understand why school and the Olympics have to happen simultaneously?!

Also: I DEMAND SLASH WITH CULLEN JONES.

Just, you know, putting that out there. Because wet!near-naked!boys hugging makes me happy. Well, okay, maybe "happy" isn't the word...

I am always lurking! Sometimes chilling. Mostly, loitering. Lots of inspiration.

Dude, if anyone can pull off the Basketball/Swimming crossover, I have firm belief that it's you.

I THOUGHT that was you skulking in the shadows! I think that next week, while I am stuck in endless "professional development seminars" (in which guest speakers are brought in with various props -- like bags full of rocks -- to symbolize the "physical and mental baggage" that students' carry) would be a great time to write the wacky fun slash adventures of the Boys from Baltimore. I can use the handout on identifying and meeting the emotional needs of the early college/high school drop-out demographic to outline. ;)
