A big thanks to all the DFW World of Warcraft players who stayed at home today to play Cataclysm. You helped make my commute to work this morning so much more pleasant and easy. I can't be off work for launch day. There are roads to build and someone has to help keep DFW traffic screwed up. ^.~

So that's what I saw people queuing outside the games shop when I went through Zurich station at 10 pm last night.

Yes sir, it was a worldwide launch event. No clue when the EU servers and game went live but I would assume it was a midnight launch over there as well.

i just laughed today as i kept seeing realm first and just thought yeah these are the people that will bitch about no new content in a few weeks.
i lucked out today is my day off, am in raptures over my worgen

I dabbled with it yesterday but life came first...dinner, chores, dog runs, etc. :P

I think it was around 9:30 last night when I saw realm first 85 priest. Less than 24 hours and someone is already to 85.

thats nothing by 8:30am on my server i already saw 3 relam first 85's and a real first maxed out alchemist.
i played for fun, rightnow my 80's will do the occasional daily till my 2 new guys are both up to outland, then i'll go and work on my main alts in the new zones.

And here I slept in a bit (granted I usually sleep in a lot) this morning after having gone to pick up my copy last night at Midnight and then stayed up till 3 am to play. Though it was more like 3:30 or such given the server crashed and wouldn't let me on again to make a worgen or go to the new areas. I was logged in prior but had to reboot the game for that to click after 3 am.

I had some issues with things being buggy prior to the DVD install and even afterward my launcher wants to hang up. Definitely some bugs to work out.
