Pictures!

Borrowed the neighbors digital camera so I could shoot the house while the holiday decorations were still up. So far I've taken close to 100 photos and I've picked a few of the better or more unique ones to share here. Pretty large pictures so could be slow to download and they are all safe to view at work. :D

Thanks. He's just a big goofball and quite puppyish still even though he is going on 7 years old.

I think when it was all said and done we had 7 trees up. Can you tell that Kevin REALLY likes to decorate for the holidays? :P

The bookshelf is where all my furry, pagany stuff is along with a crapton of Stephen King books.

Awwwr, Niko is such a cute fuzzball. ^.^ *pets him*

Wow, you sure seem to have had a lot of trees, too. *reads the above comments* Seven? Wow, that's seven more than I had. x.x

It was so comical trying to get a picture of him. He wouldn't get far enough away from me to get any sort of decent shot. :P

I had a huge laugh with him yesterday. Remember Pigpen from the old Charlie Brown cartoons/comic strip. Pigpen had this cloud of dust always surrounding him. Well yesterday Niko had this cloud of fur flying around him as he walked....he is shedding that much right now.

*smiles* How'd you manage to keep him at a picture-taking distance in the end? (Or did you just get lucky?)

Oh my, I can really picture that, too. ^^ I do recall Pigpen, of course, and I imagine that a malamute will be able to shed a LOT when losing his winter fur, too. ^.~ (Speaking of which, is he already? I'm actually wondering now what makes dogs or wolves lose their winter fur, but if it's the temperature, then I'd not be surprised.)

In reality he is only a foot or two in front of me in that shot. It was a quick sit, stay and snap a picture. I mainly got lucky.

He usually sheds his coat beginning around Halloween and will finish up in another month or so just in time to have a few months before he sheds it again. (He's lost about half at this point, from the side you can see it better but since he won't sit still...no picture of that.)

I know with horses it is a function of temperature but with our screwy weather and Niko being in and out all the time I'm not sure how or why his cycles when it does.

OMG! When did Nikolai's ears get frozen off? I didn't realize it had been that cold down there. ;p

Yeah, I noticed the metric ton of Stephen King. Take a load off your bookshelf and use those for compost. XD

*laughs* Funny. Yeah those ears are flat to his head and he has a big smile on his face. Go figure.

I've not read SK in ages but those are generally the only hardbacks I have so that's why they are out.

Trust me, he could do it professionally and probably run circles around the people who do it now. :P

Kevin is a very talented decorator. :D

You're welcome. :D

He's a lot of fun to have around though last night he just would not leave my side and was in a helluva hyper mood. I'd keep moving away and he would keep following and sit down, rinse and repeat several times.

If for some reason I don't talk to you before, you be safe and have a big time on your upcoming trip. ^.^
