Furry Fiesta is just around the corner and I need an opinion or two about a themed badge for the con. The theme this year is Time Travelers Ball. One very obvious theme for a badge would be Dr Who. And while there is certainly nothing wrong with that, it really doesn't work for me so much since I have never really followed the show. So to me that ( Read more... )

I like that badge. :)

I'd definitely not go with Dr. Who, either; too unoriginal and clichéd, and if you've never watched it, there's not even a personal connection.

Steampunk sounds nice. It doesn't have to involve time travel as such, either; I imagine that at an actual time traveller's ball, you'd meet all sorts of folks wearing era-appropriate clothes and so on, so steampunk seems fine. :)

Or you could go for a Roman horse, complete with a fancy toga and all that. :)

It's not a badge, its a full size piece of art. I think the version I have is 8" x 10". My point was that I think it would make a nifty style for a badge, whether it was a head and shoulders shot or full body cutout like the one I got for TFF2012.

And you're right, the steampunk attire seems totally in line with someone who might have arrived from another time and place. ^.^
