So I've had the Interceptor about a month now. During that time I've managed to get most of the proper riding gear. I picked up a Scorpion EXO 400 helmet, Alpinestars TG-Plus Air jacket, Alpinestars S-MX 5 boots and a pair of Alpinestars Scheme Kevlar gloaves. I feel like a walking advertisement with all the Alpinestars logos on all the gear. :P

I know what you mean about having to get used to riding again. Taking one step after the other and gradually building up experience again, as you are, is the best approach, I think.
I can see now why Honda says that it can be a bit unnerving to have it engage while cornering.
To be honest, that doesn't just sound unnerving, that sounds potentially dangerous. Well, while cornering, anyway; otherwise it sounds like fun.

I rode a lot when I was young but have not touched a bike in basically 20 years. It is slowly coming back, some things more readily than others. I still have a lot to learn about using the front brakes in conjunction with the back brakes.
After my initial moment of panic when the VTEC kicked in it was amusing to compare the difference in sound. What was previously a relatively quiet cruiser turned into a screaming sports bike ready to race something. :P
All in all it has been a lot of fun. ^.^

I can see how white boots wouldn't be ideal, but they ARE very stylish - I thought so right when I saw them that they looked really good and almost said so above, too. :)
