I really dislike George W. Bush.
He tried to push the war to the back.
He did things--like, he asked for people to support the war, and then right after, he told people to support our troops. This meant people stood--for the troops. Not for his plan. But he did that on purpose. The people on MSNBC commented on it, too.

But sometimes I wonder if he is actually a manipulative asshole.

My poli sci teacher was actually talking about that exact same idea today in class: that bush just presents himself as a bumbling fool so that people will underestimate him and he can get away with things like dodging questions in press or public events.

i agree with you though, it's disgusting the way he intermingles supporting the troops with supporting the war. you can have support for the men and women in combat without supporting the issues of the war. it isn't as black and white as he and others in his administration would like to make it.
