(I was given "Rosa, Runeclaws and Tubthumping" by wayfarers_lodge in a me-me thing and thought i'd post it here in case any are interested - this is a Runeclaws possible future post, pray no offence is taken by any!)

We'll be singing...when we're winning... )

Well duh. We were the bestest. Ever. :-)

There are few concepts I enjoyed playing as much as that pack. Though I very much doubt Iduna ever made old bones.

"Daaave?"

Dave gives the blonde a look that manages to combine welcome and long-suffering. Some things never change, and Songbird is definitely one of them.

"Before we get onto something I'm going to regret, how about a cuppa?"

"Way ahead of you." She grins and produces the mug (and where, he wonders, had she managed to find a chipped teddy mug?) from behind her back.

"Right." Dave takes a sip of the hot, sweet brew and watches Songbird flit round his precious workshop. She picks up a delicate-looking carving and he finds he can only hold out so long. He wonders how Martin copes. "What were you after, Songbird?"

"You do, like, carpentry and stuff, right?"

"I've made a few things, aye," he admits warily.

"Have any of those been a crib?"

The shaft of sunlight slanting in from the window outlines the new, very faint curve to her stomach.

Maybe everything does change, after all.

hiding a smile with a beard and tea Dave enjoys the brew

"Axes and sea-dragons? or is it not a girl.." and then smiles properly "Congratulations. I love children"

"but couldn't eat a whole one" they both chorus

"How about..." and Songbird grins mischievously "...ducks?"

Now you've got me thinking about the old bunch again... and now about their eventual deaths.

I think Twice-Dead would die in a storm, at sea, saving lives and kicking arse.

For many of the old bunch, those words 'kicking arse' have to be in the death predictions. There just is no other way. :-)
