Any of my geekier friends out there have any experience working with both raid (1) and non raid disks on the same Mobo ( Read more... )

Have you made sure that the drivers on the Windows install on the raid array are up to date? See if all the controllers/drives show up under Device Manager. Also right-click on My Computer, select Management, then go to Storage/Disk Management. Do they show up there?

Nope. They do not show up in device manager/disk manager.

There could possibly be some driver issues. I've got quite a few "Unknown device" listings. Maybe removing my controller cards and re-installing them one at a time will help windows get its drivers together. I used a driver archive and re-install program, but it seemed to have some issues. Apparently not all the drivers would copy over.

I'd say just download new drivers from the manufacturer of the controller card or motherboard, which ever you have the non-raid drives plugged into.
