Summary: because really, who wants to be figured out, anyway?
A/N: Bit of AU in which Gwen's the one who ends it.
It’s not that I don’t think that you could. I’ve no doubt that you could, if only you put your mind to it. There have been others before you, and I don’t delude myself that I’m complex (or special, too many people have told me that I am for that to be true). I’m really quite uncomplicated once you get to know me, but then most of my life choices were fairly simple.
Or maybe I’ll surprise you.
But that’s not the point.
Just imagine if I made it my mission to find out all about you. Not the first girl you kissed or the names of your childhood pets (if you had any) and every other obscure, meaningless detail. I mean the reason why you set two alarms for the morning. How many times you’ll let yourself be pushed before you dig your heels in and say no. How little it can take (a good joke, a real smile however small) to placate you again.
Call me a hypocrite - I know Jack would - but that’s no way to charm. Romance is all about the mystery. Why do you think that I don’t go all doe-eyed around you anymore? I know you too well. Dare I say, I’ve figured you out.
