Very nice. I like the way this opens with little sympathy for Jack, but by the time it ends the sympathy is *all* for Jack.

Definitely. I love episodes of Who and TW where you hear him telling those mad (happy/funny) stories; everyone around him just seems to light up (which, of course, is why he's doing it).
