I've not seen Dollhouse yet (I'm waiting for the DVDs to come out), but despite that, this is brilliant. I was actually sorry it stopped when it did - I wanted to see them make their escape and get home.
I don't think Gwen would have handled the role as well as Ianto - he's calmer and more controlled. Gwen is too open for undercover work. Loved it.

I recommend Dollhouse too; it's a very intriguing show. I'm glad you liked it anyway.

Ordinarily I'd agree, but this time was a bit too personal for both of them.

I have it in my head that Jack was probably investigating the Dollhouse, and got himself captured at a time when there was a vacancy. I doubt that the Dollhouse knew who he was. I do think they had a vague idea about Torchwood, but most of their knowledge would have been concerning Torchwood One, which they would assume to be destroyed.

I'm not sure if that makes sense outside the confines of my mind, but there you are! I'm glad you enjoyed it aside from this.
