This is by far my favorite (illustrated!) analysis of the movie thus far. I'm completely impressed...and in agreement with your assessments. :)

Wow. You, my dear, are incredibly cool, write incredibly well, and I couldn't have said better myself if I had six months and seven extremely talented evil undead monkeys (with clothes!) helping me type. And I was only able to absorb about half of this...will have to read again later.

I've seen it twice, and it's still a fun ride ;)

and, incidentally, orlando bloom's also in the movie.

*snickers* No one loves Orlie. Why should they, when there're Jack and Norrington and Keira to drool over. And the crazy voodoo witch. And swordfights. Dude, this movie has far too much eyecandy. And far too much awesomeness. I can't wait til May either.

Untrue. I loves Orlie. Yes, all the other stuff is of very much awesomeness, but the pure pretty-boy factor is not something I'm going to ignore.
