Time to explore that 'scenic route'? (I know, all alternates are going to be crawling)

What's really sad, and you know I'm right, is that the human condition has become so self-absorbed and selfish and mean that there are now over a thousand angry drivers thinking,
"Just shoot the fucker so I can get into work."

(goddamn i'm feeling all kinds of emo... where's my squid-tank?)

I drove in this morning, there had been an accident and it was mostly stop, with a little bit of go. Couple of people tearing down the breakdown lanes, others, swerving around people who were starting to pull forward - almost go hit a couple times. Reminds me why I don't leave past 6am when I drive - fewer people statistically means fewer assholes. Whole lots of people running the rat race to get ahead.

I miss small town New England.

Would I miss the big city, the suburbs, etc...? Parts of it.

Crikey. The two people in the car either weren't awake or were pretending not to be awake, but b/c it was a stolen car police closed the beltway in both directions for over an hour whilst trying to wake them.

they "tried waking them up" for an hour?!?!?!? WTF?!?!?!? how about a couple of minutes, after which they should have been dragged from the car? this is the kinda stuff you expect to see on Reno 911, not from actual cops. but then again...

geez!

Aye. By 8:50 the backup had gone all the way paast the Mormon Temple, and was spilling onto parts of 295 in the other direction.

Starting at 8:30 I spent most of 40 min trying to get from 395 to 50 on 27; turned out they were doing weird construction work. The other major traffic problems were sufficient that this didn't merit the traffic report.

:hugs: Sorry the morning sucks. Spend some outside time?
