OMG I'm so glad you posted something about the VPA program. I apparently was the first person to ever try to take AP courses on a CM track and the VPA program at the same time. The VPA program is designed for talented artists that don't have much going on in the way of acedemics. I lasted through the middle of October, coming home imediately from school and studying and working on art projects unti 1 or 2 in the morning every night. I got really sick, failed a couple of PHysics and AP History tests, then had to withdraw from VPA. Thus why I skipped my senior year as I wasn't advancing my art at that point.

I've found that for the most part guidance couselors are idiots that don't tell you this sort of thing.

Don't overload yourself. Let me know if you want any more personal testimonials. Also talk to some people in the program now to find out what its like for them.

I'm still uncertain about the program...I know it would be a great opportunity, but I'm still worried about it. Not only am I kind of nervous about the performance aspect, but I've heard the music theory teacher is really strict and the material's difficult.

Luckily, I won't have to take math (or science really) next year, and Teacher Practicum should be easy enough because its something I've wanted to do my whole life. I should only have to balance it with all the writing for AP English.

Thanks so much for the advice tho <3 I'd love to hear more, and I'll be sure to talk to a few of my friends in the program already. blah...i'm trying not to overload myself...
