Apparently there are a couple of Goths in Wrexham but they seem to be invisible. I know exactly what you mean about reality, since my return I am feeling increasingly unhappy with the lot that life currently has dealt :( Don't worry about boring the living daylights out of people, they are probably thinking the same thing, at least you didn't instigate the great goth standup routine Nov'03!
Rural north wales is sheer hell in these terms, so I know exactly how you feel *biiiiig hugs* going back to living on my own, having shared a house with six people and having had squillions of other people arround is going to be very horrid too lots of love Patrick XXXX (luckily for me I haven't made it all the way back there yet, but I will, and I shall be bad)

I didn't get to Whitby (again...), but I had to go Oop North to visit family (not so far away from Durham), and the contrast to being in London is incredible. The staring, the pointing, the mutterings of "F***ing freak".... and people ask me if I'd ever move back there! Not bluddy likely!
My "home town" *shudders* never feels right anyway. Living in Middlesbrough, there are quite a few goths about but we live in fear of having bottles and insults thrown at us, or worse. There is a lot of anti-goth feeling here. You can have abuse hurled at you simply for wearing a long black coat over totally normal work clothes!
Hehe I always worry about whether people actually like me or if they are just being polite too :) I failed to meet any new people in Whitby at all. I wonder if we walked right past each other at some point? Though I didn't see anyone that looked like your LJ pic.
ps: a pikey is, well.. a charver really. i.e, someone who is common, wears the latest shitty sports wear but doesn't actually do any sport, and is probably orange
