Does anyone know where i can get some sort of cosmetic brush cleaning solution, or is water just as good as anything?

Also - i tend to use a very pale grey eyeshadow as, well, a sort of blusher to enhance my cheekbones. Does anyone know where i can pick up a good, very pale grey eyeshadow WITHOUT a sheen? All the ones i've found seem to shimmer.

I'm fairly sure that Rimmel do one, though it may come as part of a duo; also you could try Karen Millen (in large Boots stores) only they cost about £10... they last for ages though! :)

Well, to clean my brushes I just scrub them with liquid soap (then rinse, of course!)and that seems to work fine. As for grey colour, Maybelline do really nice little single eyeshadows (in a circular container - can't remember what they're called) and the 'black' one is a very soft greyish colour which might be alright for you (I need to build it up quite a bit to make it look black). :)

Boots No 7 shadows are quite matte, I use them because I don't like uber-shimmer. I bought some brush cleaning stuff from the Body Shop but that was ages ago and they might not do it now. Mild detergent like baby shampoo would probably do the job. You can wash out powder puffs, cosmetic sponges and wash the inside of your make-up bag/box, too.

I have one of the Boots eyeshadows mentioned above that I never wear - I bought it because I had forgotten my usual dark grey and it looked much darker in the pot than it goes on. It's more of a dove grey than my normal colour but you can build it up quite nicely to a darker finish. E-mail me your address and I'll post it on to you. :)
