A Long Strange Dream...

Jun 03, 2005 23:37

ok... so... if any of you guys are good at figuring out what dreams mean, here's a good one:

so, it starts off, my sister is down here getting things ready for her wedding (that's not 'til next year), when suddenly we get a call.  It's someone from England saying that something has happened to almost the entire royal family and the ones that are left are stepping down.  Then the person on the phone says that based on our records and a vote of the population of England, they have picked my family to become the royal family and my sister to become the new queen the day she gets married, (weird, plus I know that would never happen), but it also made me the new princess... (all of the glory and money, none of the work...kind of like prince Harry, but I'm not red headed, I don't dress up like a Nazi, and I would have to say I'm at least a little more attractive then him 8- P)

HELLOOOOOOOOO WILLIAM!  8- D     Was the first thing I thought of, since he was still alive, but was stepping down.

In my dream, Harlingen is not in Texas, but actually about 35 minutes from London, England and actually looks more like Venice, Italy were it's that very old age looking structure and the buildings are almost right on the river, but there is a small kind of walk-way (like on the river walk in San Antonio) and there are gondolas everywhere.

So somehow, the pesky paparazzi find out, and we're now being followed by them constantly, but we now had sort of a royal secret service to watch over us, and in my dream, the reporters weren't annoying... yet.

So, we're still shopping for my sister's wedding, and cody suddenly pops out of nowhere and is helping me pick out my Maid of Honor dress, and a dress to wear to the coronation when we actually become known as the royal family. We're talking and laughing and all of a sudden the whole Laura & Michael Seymore (< did I spell that right?) thing came up and I was laughing about when cody called her cell phone and left a message with all of us yelling MICHAEL SEYMORE!!! and cody adding at the end (Laura wants to do him!) when suddenly Laura comes around the corner and is buying flowers and a little corner street wagon type of place, and hasn't heard mine and cody's convo. which makes us laugh even harder.

Then it suddenly starts to rain, so, we all decide to go home.  Even though it is raining in my dream, I'm not getting wet... but everyone else is.  People are running to get to their little cubical-type homes (well, that's what I call them... it's more like apartments, but smaller), but I'm just walking slowly, watching the rain and being totally relaxed because I'm not getting wet.  Then as I start to climb the outdoor cement stairs (but they were pretty and sculpted in a swirly-type design with a banister, not just regular ugly cement stairs) to my third-story apartments, the river starts to over flow and everything starts to kind of flash flood, but down stream first and the flood is slowly making it way up the river (we were at a slant, like on a hill or something...), when out of no where Blake Hutchinson pops out of no where and tells me (monotone with almost no emotion) that his home is being flooded right now, down stream, and he has no where to go.  So, I invite him up to my place just til the rain stops, because I'm not scared at all that my apartments will get flooded, especially since it's on the third floor.  So, I show him around my apartments, which was beautiful, and I'm even more amazed than blake, because even though I live there in my dream, it was like it was my first time seeing it, too, but I knew my way around and where to find everything.

When the rain stops, we go out on my balcony and look at the river to see where it had flooded.  Sure enough, the flood hadn't even come close to where I lived.  Then I saw an old man that was supposedly my grandpa, but looked nothing like him... and he was helping a bunch of little kids find their way back to their homes after the storm, and they were following him like a bunch of little ducklings follow a momma duck. It was really quite cute.  Then Blake left and went back to his home because it wasn't flooded anymore, and he wanted to see the damage and make sure his family was holding up.

Then, the next thing I know, time is like fast-forwarded to the night of the "coronation" and we're driving on the highway to get there in my electric blue dodge neon with my sister at the wheel, when suddenly the traffic slows way down, so my sister starts driving on the shoulder all crazy-like to get there faster, and we're all screaming except for her.  Then, I suddenly realize that I'm in this nice formal dress (the bottom part blue, the top part black, and it was one of those poofy ones... it was really pretty), but I forgot to change my shoes and so I'm wearing white tennis shoes with this beautiful dress.  My sister then says that she forgot to get formal gloves to wear as well.  So then I suggest stopping at a payless or wal-mart (you know, because that's where the british royalty shop... lol).  So we go to some british version of wal-mart and go to the formal gloves section and my sister and I decide I need formal gloves, too.  I try to pick out the color and forget what colors I'm wearing.  I decided I need white gloves and my mom is trying to tell me that I need black gloves (which is a "duh").  So I argue with her because I have it in my head that I need white instead of black (even though I wouldn't have done that in real life... so... that was odd...).  Anyways... I end up getting the black ones, of course, and my sister gets her gloves and we check out and leave...

We get to the "palace" and I realize that I still didn't get my shoes, and I'm still wearing these bright white tennis shoes.  I then begin running around trying to find a room that I can hide out in, or that has spare shoes, because I start thinking that if people see me or if the press gets pictures of me they will end up not just making fun of me, but more importantly, my sister who is going to be the new queen.  So I'm going room to room and they all look the same, and I soon get lost.  Then my sister comes up behind me and tells me that she found a room full of shoes.  I follow her and the room ends up being full of the other guests' shoes, and I get totally grossed out.  "Who knows where those shoes have been?!?!" Then my sister says that there is no other choice, so I start looking through the shoes.  However, all the shoes are either the wrong color or don't have a match.

There I am with nothing else to do but wear those white tennis shoes and look dumb.  The press has a field day... yadda, yadda, yadda, and I finally give up and begin posing for the pictures.  Everybody laughs.  I then notice the little thrones set aside for each of us.  My Grandmother, "Maudie" is sitting in one all neat and tidy with a small tiara on her head, there is a big throne where my sister is sitting nervously, and next to her are two empty thrones, one for me, and one for my mother.  We don't know where my mom is, so I go looking for her.  I find her sitting in the back on a metal fold-out chair with her arms out in a "T" in front of a fan with little ribbons on it that are flowing in the wind the fan is making.  I ask her what the heck she is doing and she replies "what? I got hot." We both laugh and I tell her that she really shouldn't be doing that right now, since it's the coronation and all... so she's like "all right..." and we go out to sit in our thrones... the next thing I know, my sister is being crowned, and the dinner guests are cheering... and then I woke up.

Pretty cool?  Pretty wierd?  Both?  Any ideas as to what it all meant?
