Ebay Woes

Jun 30, 2009 02:25

I bought a bitchin' wedding dress on Ebay from Singapore, set to be made in black.

Lo and behold, 26 days later, the listing has been deleted.

Not only that, but the seller removed all of their listings (and they had easily 50 or more).

Here we go again.

Nice, that was gonna be my follow up...I've never had anything like this happen to me, I'm not sure what to do if an incident like this did happen =(

Also, out of curiosity, did they have good rating? I'm pretty new to the ebay's (>20 purchases) so any heads up about this type of stuff is good.

The only thing I can do now is chase them through Paypal, since they closed my door to complain on ebay as well.

Their rating wasn't bad. It wasn't a super high number of sales, but the two complaints on there were A) over someone not receiving an item in a 2-week period, and B) someone complaining that a shirt/wtvr they paid $0.03 for wasn't custom done, so I thought little of it.

BEST advice that I need to follow as well: if it's an overseas shop, look for over 1,000 sales and at least 97.0 feedback. There's always going to be a package lost here and there, a size mistake, or something just fuckhat stupid to complain about, but out of 1k or more sales, it's minimal.

Anyone lower than 500 feedbacks and less than 100% I won't buy from.

Nada. Not sure if they got busted for counterfeits but I'm guessing so with their prices. I couldn't leave any feedback since the sale was deleted, but the last few responses weren't so nice.

Singapore I'm usually happy with; I got an awesome jacket from there about three weeks ago that I damn near wear every day. This sucks, though. Was really looking forward to that dress.

This is one of the reasons I only buy U.S on there.

What was their feedback like?

The two negatives when I bought it were over condition of a 3cent item and not getting a package from Singapore to wherever in Canada in 2 weeks. Figured that I was safe with lame complaints like that and a TON of good ones. And now it's crawling with missing package complaints and no communication. Crap.
