That's a bummer! I've dealt with asshole roommates before, hence why I prefer to live alone now, even if it is a bit more expensive.

Oh and have you heard anything about Grandpa? Mom mentioned on her FB page that he was undergoing chemo for some type of cancer and was looking at his "bucket list," but as usual she just completely ignored me when I asked for details.

Well anyway, good (or at least, better) luck with the house hunting! Perhaps you'll want to consider verifying employment and income before taking on a new roommate, though I'm guessing you've already figured that out....

Personally I didn't know any of this was going on. Yote would go on about how you guys had a great dynamic where while he didn't pay rent, he did keep the house clean and do the cooking for the household (and the grocery shopping). I thought it sounded a bit odd, but figured you guys had things worked out to your satifaction. For the record, he also told me the same story as to why he was moving back in with his mom.

One thing I can say is that with Yote, there is always some crazy ass story involved. Always.
