So, it's been a few years since I've posted here, and I have to wonder if anyone even looks at it anymore. I guess I'm about to find out.

Quite a lot has happened since my last (substantive) post here. I had to go back through my old posts to see where I left off. For those of you who haven't followed along on Twitter, here's a quick rundown:

Although I haven't followed along with you especially closely, I'm still surprised that I had no idea about that situation. Wow. I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. :\

There is still a pretty strong core user group on LJ, pretty much all the furry types who joined it in 2002-3ish and just never left. Personally I find Facebook tedious and invasive, and I find Twitter just sort of inane, so I keep a safe distance from either one. I think that's true of many of the folks who stay around LJ. Perhaps that makes us a little obsolete in social media, or on the other hand perhaps it means we have a longer attention span than the typical millennial. I'll probably succumb sooner or later, though.
