I've come to observe a rather apparent trend in the relationship between my mother and brother. You see the trend, as it seems to go so far, is that they are most likely to have a usually explosive fight on a Wednesday night.

Once again, tonight my theory has been proven. You see, my brother is paid on a Wednesday and the moment he gets off

wow. i have a pattern with this too. every saurday my mum comes home to drop off foos and then she attacks me and my brother and my poor boyfriend is stuck there listening to it all for the next hour even though my mums boyfriend tells her that im happy when she comes home but then i get depressed when she starts yelling and she agrees not to but does anyway. i then go and yell abck making things worse and then go up to my room and sulk until jason comes up and says hes going to get mum and then she comes up and says something like "ok then what have i dont now?" and i start crying making her feel guilt and then she appoligises and leaves.

thats my cycle.

We shall suffer under unfair treatment from mothers together!

When my mother just launches on me like that I cant fight back or voice my views on it because it just makes it worse, so I shut my mouth and remain silent, wait until she wears it out then disappear to my room. She never apologises, and the rest of the day is spent sidestepping her and her bad mood and trying not to do anything to spark another session.

Its incredibly frustrating and unfair but I know a lot of it is because of the crap that goes on with my brother which causes her to be really pissed off and angry. Because I'm the one that is around her and talks to her the most I'm the one that get the most of her anger. She’s talked to me about it before, and she knows that she does it, and knows that its wrong...but I think it’s a pride thing that stops her to apologise.
