i am now having strong urges to...*gasp*...be politically active...

You wanna run for school board for me? Departmental discussion yesterday boiled down to 'how do we provide the best possible educational experience given the students we've got'? Double fun - the university is trying to expand (insert related tax gripe and student loan market = human rights violation gripe here), which most likely means lowering the bar. Generally, I am just political enough to assuage my embarrassment. And to enjoy certain rights of complaint.
