Leoben heard the necklace breaking before he even saw Carrie. He frowned before picking up some of the wooden beads and walked over to her. He didn't know what had happened but he knew something had.
Crouching down beside her, the cylon gently pushed back some of her hair, using his fingers to smooth out the tangles. "Hey."
Carrie flinched slightly at being touched so suddenly, and looked up at Leoben. Her stare was blank, almost unreadable. She'd stopped crying long ago, and any sign that she had was long gone.
At least she'd learned that much-- don't let them see you cry.
Leoben moved back after a moment and frowned slightly but more before he didn't know what to do for her than anything else. He picked up more of the wooden beads from the floor and held them out to her.
"I don't want them," She said, almost immediately. Carrie had tried to send them all flying around the room, like she'd done with the stones when she was younger. The ones she always used to threaten Momma with.
But God had taken her power away, so instead they'd just rolled away until they eventually lost momentum.
