I'm... PREGNANT!!!
Yep, just a little over six weeks pregnant with mine and Hubby's first child. We're expecting the new arrival in June of next year, and we're very excited! We actually had our first ultrasound today, and we saw the baby's heartbeat for the first time. It was incredible to finally see the life growing inside of me (yep, not twins -- just one). It's a wonderful feeling (even though I've been sick as a dog lately, and even though the whole reality of being pregnant hasn't really hit me yet).
It seemed like Hubby and I have been trying to get pregnant for so long without success, that to finally see a positive result has been a bit unreal. And overwhelming. I cried tears of joy and unbelief the morning the pregnancy stick finally read "pregnant". We're definitely super excited! We won't find out the sex of the baby until the end of January, but boy or girl, it doesn't matter as long as the baby's healthy.
Anyway, just wanted to share this awesome news. Soon I will be "Mommy Shadowfax" -- and that sounds really good! ^_^
