Lutherans and Protestants aren't the only ones: the RCC ain't doin' so swell either. VC-II was a massive fuck-up that cost that church dearly. Of course, the RCC is caught in a dilemma of its own making: they can't admit they fucked up, that VC-II was a mistake, that the Magisterium got caught with its infallibility down. All that Novus Ordo weirdness drove away members, and is still doing so. The RCC has been a failure by any metric you care to consider ever since Paul VI failed to come out and say it: "You know all that crap my immediate predecessor did? FUGGEDABOUDDIT! It was a mistake". Never before has an historic institution such as Christianity in the West fallen so far, so fast. They have no one to blame but themselves ( ... )
