okay so i think i realized what my problem is with most religons ideals. I'm not trying to say anyone's wrong, in fact i'd rather that i'm wrong, and i don't have anything wrong with people's beliefs. To each their own i say, plus religon makes most people out to be good people ( Read more... )

Simple, its religion and they usually don't win in the logic department.

foreknowledge =/= pre-ordination. Let's assume, for a second, that you believe he created you. He created you with the power of free will, to make your own choices. He did not predestine you to make choices, or write the story of your entire life out before creating you. that's not what "all knowing" means. It means that he knows the choices you will make. Now, in responce to this, somebody is going to say "well, if he KNOWS you're not going to chose heaven, then he's essentially condeming you by allowing you to do that." well, that makes sense if "free will" was NOT in the equation. YES, he is fully aware where your choices will lead you, we can all agree on this. However there's nothing he can do about it. Why? because the choice was given to you.

Now, you COULD say that he could "insert things into your life that will stear you in said direction," and i would agree with you. Then i would say that he does:
(19) because that which may be known of God is manifest in them, for God hath shown it unto them ( ... )

OH! here's a good way. Just because i "know" that i'm going to beat your ass like a small girl at GGXX does not mean I'm arranging the events of your day to lead up to playing the game against my Chipp. You have free will to play.

HA!

your first paragraph just agrees with what i said. He gave you the choice, he knows what that choice is that you're going to make, if not the "choice of god" u are condemned to hell before u even got started. Free will is a matter of improper wording when dealing with an omnipotent god. He knows all, just because u have a presumed choice, doesn't mean he didn't technically choose that path for u when he created the experiment of existence because he knew what that choice was before u even started. thus, since u obviously can't change the choice that god knows your going to make because that would make him wrong which is impossible of an omnipotent god, then he has pre-ordained your path to hell. How is their any other option?

I wonder if there are alternate realities. Like God creates different pathways based on the decisions we make as we make them. So we all have the chance to be "good" but human nature doesn't allow everyone to get there. Keep asking questions though. I think its good.
