Well, damn. I'm sorry you went through all that. It sounds terrible. I hope you're feeling yourself again soon.

Thankee... I'm getting better day by day. The worst part is not being able to use my abs as much, which is 90% of my mobility.

How are you doing?

See if you can pay at an "insured" rate. Most hospital bills get broken down like this:

Cost: $15,000
Discount to insurer $5,000
"True Cost" $10,000
Insurance pays $8,000
You pay $2,000

Naturally, since you don't have insurance, you have to pay the $10,000 but at least it would be better than $15,000!

Wow... thanks for the tip; I'll try that. I *may* head in another direction initially tho.

Good grief. Glad to have you among the living.

So, -is- there a gallstone too, or was that a complete red herring?

There's a gallstone, and a somewhat sizeable one, but that had *nothing* to do with this, I'm told.

I've since eaten McD's with no ill effects; I'm tending to believe the gallstone is dormant for the moment.

Still, once I'm more normal I think I'm going to try one of those flushes.

Sounds like a small slice of hell...if there's anything I can do, please let me know, ok?

Thanks, hun. While I could probably use some company, I don't think I'd be that pleasant to be in the same room as just now.

Sounds like you've been having a bit of a rough patch too? How are you doing?

Ah. Well, if you change your mind, let me know...I'm just around the corner, practically. (and I give great sponge baths ^__^ )

I've been doing better since I've been able to just stay in bed and rest this week. (Some people call it unemployment, I call it a well deserved vacation.) Stress levels are dropping, sleep is happening...now if the blood pressure would just cooperate everything would be fine.)

Woohoo! I might just have to take you up on that... ;)

Rest is a good thing... a little zen might help the blood pressure too...
