Office work

There's something oddly profound about office jobs. It's something that I wouldn't have thought about if I hadn't taken an office job. It doesn't revolve around me feeling like a cog plugged into some infernal entity endlessly assimilating my being into its nefarious plots of... well, what do libraries plot? World enlightenment? Hear fuckin' hear. My bank used paper like Rosie O'Donnell uses toilet paper, but my office job before that? Every day, at MINIMUM, we were printing about 3000 pages of documents. Everything was paper. Everything. Everywhere. And we sat directly across from a log-processing facility (logging is huge up there) so how's that for a mindfuck. I'm pretty sure my tiny little office in podunksville decimated at least five or six national parks alone.

I'm really curious about how offices run in the Middle East, particularly in Muslim countries. I read that paper and writing are sacred in Islam, and I would love to see how they conduct business. Cause really, do we need a memorandum for EVERYTHING?
