Weird! There are literally a thousand games that SMB is identical to (all of the stage-based flash games that it even references, like Ogmo and such) and N is not one of them - N has a fuller physics simulation and completely different level design aesthetics. SMB is about platforming; N is about arenas.

Also when you say 'played for 1-2 hours at a time' but you're still only at the third boss... are you having a sticky ol' time on the regular levels? Because DARK WORLD and TEH INTERNETS!

In defense of my "GAMER CRED" (if such a thing exists), I have two reasons why I'm going slowly.

1. Because if I see a bandage/warp zone, I MUST GET IT. So I end up doing some impossible level 20 odd times because I NEED THE BANDAGE.

2. I beat world 2, about 75% of the dark levels on world 1, and I came back the next day and my game hadn't saved, so I had to do world 2 again. It did the same thing after I got to the boss of world 3. It's some save glitch and it hates me. I didn't mind so much with world 2 (they weren't THAT hard), but world 3 pissed me off (especially after #1, where I had a jillion bandages).

So yeah I'm not completely terrible. I just have bad luck? Get frustrated easily? Both? Suck?

Hahaha, didn't mean to impugn your skills, sorry! That just seemed like a long session. I've had save problems with it too, but none since my first batch (when it randomly kicked me out and dumped my data - about 2/3 through World 1 so no big deal.)

World 3 is hard! I think I had more trouble with it than world 4.

Yeah you'd think in a game like this they'd REALLY make sure the damn saving worked.
Good thing I love it so much I don't mind redoing levels. :P
