Volunteered to help a friend job hunt, and things went to shit from there. Spent entirely longer than I wanted to running around, and came home to no interwebs.

They've been doing roadwork in our area for half of the blasted year. They're converting all the houses out here over to city water, off of well water, an effort that we have no choice in, we HAVE to go to city water, and we have to take out a loan to pay for it, thanks to the Mayor trying to drive lwoer income families out of our city. Well, the d-bags doing the roadwork hit a trunk line in the ground and killified the cable and associated cable internet in the entire section of the grid that we're in.
