This is a response to this prompt on the Star Trek XI kink meme. It's really just a drabble.

Bad Kitty!Spock! No!

It was amazing how Spock still looked like himself when he was a cat. The brown eyes watched everything with both curiosity and disdain. The ears had just a little bit of extra pointyness to them and somehow, even without eyebrows, Spock managed to raise his eyebrow at his disbelieving fellow crewmembers.

It wouldn't last. They'd been assured of that by the Elder Council of Srallansre, who were most abject in their apologies. They had not intended for any of the visiting Enterprise crew to be caught in the ritual. Still, the effect was designed to wear off in a few days. Until then, Commander Spock would remain, as he would put it, a small domestic Terran feline.

Kirk really didn't mind. There'd been cats on the farm when he was a kid and he found that petting Spock was even more fun than petting those had been. He'd even found an Andorian plant that was nutritionally sound for the now-carnivore to eat so that Spock wouldn't suffer the indignity of requiriing meat.

Spock's mind was still intact even though his body had a new shape, so Kirk didn't keep him off the bridge. They might need his advice for something. Of course, he couldn't really sit at the science station, the controls weren't suited for his short stature and paws, so Spock spent most of the shift prowling around, and then jumping up and settling himself on Kirk's lap. And if Kirk minded having his uniform pants covered in fur, well, he tactfully didn't mention it.

But Spock's new body had its own instincts as well, instincts he wasn't practiced at ignoring. It was a good thing no one could read cat facial expressions, or the whole crew would know how mortified he was to have been caught playing with some loose insulation when he and Kirk visited Engineering.

He didn't always stay with Kirk either. No, he was perfectly capable of going around the ship on his own. The crew all knew what had happened to him so he didn't need to worry about one of them mistaking him for a pet and picking him up. It was on one of these outings that he found himself in the hydroponics garden.

His nose twitched. There was something very pleasing about the aroma here, something he had never noticed as a Vulcan. He followed the enticing scent to a small grouping of plants. The leaves were the deep green common to Earth flora and had serrated edges. There were clusters of small light purple flowers.

Spock vaguely recognized the plant as Nepeta Cataria, but that intoxicating scent was driving rational thought out of his mind. He took one cautious nip at a leaf, sat back, licked his whiskers in contemplation, and then attacked the plant.

That was how they found him some time later, lying on his back, purring, his paws idly batting at the hanging leaves. Kirk chuckled and scooped Spock into his arms, cuddling him in a way no Vulcan would stand for if it wasn't so comfortable. Spock purred louder.

McCoy just shook his head in disbelief. "Damnit, Jim, he got stoned on catnip!"
