Oddly enough, we were discussing the dead parrot sketch, Gallagher and I, during study hall on Friday. He was cleaning out his boxes of props for his plastic owl friend and found a fake parrot. This led to much discussion of Monty Python.
Conclusion: Mr. Gallagher, who now rules my life, is my idea of what would've happened to Watari had he continued to live. He would've become bald and incredibly eccentric. And talk to a fake owl rather than a real one. *nodnod*

Gallagher went on to say in the same conversation that he went to see the Python troupe back in '76 and during intermission, while everyone was trying to get up and go get a beer and hit the bathrooms, John Cleese came out on stage in a French maid's outfit, carrying a box with a large dead bird in it and started screaming "ALBATROSS! ALBATROSS!"
The other cast members had dispersed themselves throughout the theater and were responding to this with such things as, "Got any beer?"
To which Cleese replied, "No, you silly sot, I've got ALBATROSS!"
People were afraid to leave the auditorium because they didn't want to miss anything!

Lol, that's a skit from...Flying Circus, season two. And for that entire episode they somehow incorporate "ALBATROSS!" into just about every skit. It's wicked funny.
